75,000 Job Applications received by Google in One Week

Google set another record last week.  This time it had nothing to do with number of searches or anything else to do with search engines.  In just one week, Google received over seventy-five thousand job applications from potential employees.  This topped a previous record by fifteen percent set in 2007. The reason for this is Google announced  last month they plan on hiring over six-thousand new employees this year.  Google is going deeper into the mobile device business, along with internet advertising and internet applications. This may be in response to the challenges that Google is receiving from Facebook and Apples for advertising dollars.
